I've said many times that I don't like cases for my iPods, but I have found lanyards useful ... either the kind that go around the neck or preferably something like a camera wrist strap.

So I'd consider getting a case for the iPhone if it included some sort of wrist strap lanyard thingy, but I'm overwhelmed by the selection, and most of what I've seen "features" a belt clip. I don't get why manufacturers think people want belt clips. I want the back of the phone to be totally lay-flat smooth, no clip, not even a port for a clip, I don't want a clip!
